Those seeking treatment for an addiction are also protected by federal laws, such as the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) which provide job protection to those seeking help recovering from an addiction.

Benzodiazepines: What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You

Benzodiazepines are a class of drugs that slow the central nervous system to produce a sense of calm and well-being. Often used to treat anxiety and panic disorders, benzodiazepines include drugs like Xanax, Klonopin, Valium and Librium.
