Todd Zalkins is tall, gregarious and open-hearted.

He’s also lucky to be alive.

After 17 years of escalating addiction and the loss of his best friend, Sublime’s Brad Nowell, to a heroin overdose, Todd entered treatment for what his doctor called the worst case of opioid addiction he had ever seen.

Now going on 11 years in recovery, Todd shares his story with others and inspires people who are similarly struggling with substanse abuse to find their motivation to seek treatment and begin to heal.
