Detox And Residential Treatment
Prior to enrolling in outpatient treatment at Roots, we conduct a thorough assessment of all potential clients to find the most appropriate level of care. If you are in need of detox or residential (inpatient) treatment, we will help facilitate a referral to one of our trusted partner facilities, so that you can stabilize and prepare for sober living and outpatient treatment.
Treatment at the partial hospitalization level is provided both individually and in group, five days a week. The focus of this stage of the program is to get you centered with yourself—physically, mentally and emotionally. We help you identify cravings and develop coping skills to address these challenging feelings early in sobriety. Every client develops a recovery plan and will work with addiction specialists to work through their individual goals.
In intensive outpatient, or IOP, clients continue the work they started at the PHP level. The focus of this level of care is to participate in individual and group counseling, case management and family therapy while they are now experiencing more integration in the community, either working or going to school. At the IOP level, clients will have more opportunity to practice the coping skills they learned in the real world.
Continuing care is just as important as PHP and IOP as clients at this level have now completed intensive programming, and are integrated into their community or continuing at sober living while they are back at work or school. You will face common triggers and be exposed to more challenges at this level and have the opportunity to address this in continuing care with your therapist or case manager.
Recovery Support Services
We have integrated other services that allow us to stay connected with clients as they complete their treatment. This program is customized according to your needs, and will include bi-weekly follow-ups, drug testing and case management. We understand that many of our clients want to benefit from recovery support while they maintain their daily routines.
12-step and alternative fellowship
We understand that long-term substance abuse recovery is more likely to be achieved when a person is connected to a community. While you will be a member of the Roots community for life, actively participating in a peer support community like 12-step (AA, NA or CA), or an alternate community like SMART or Refuge Recovery, is critical. To this end, we encourage our clients to find the community that they connect with most, and commit to regular participation.
Peer and Alumni Support
Many of our alumni who have completed treatment with Roots are willing to help those early in their recovery. Joining a group of people who have experienced the same challenges as you and have found ways to recover, may help. We organize peer support activities and monthly alumni events to support every client who walks through our doors.
