A COVID-19 Antigen test (frequently referred to as a rapid test), detects protein fragments
specific to the Coronavirus.
Turnaround time for results is usually very quick and in most cases, results can be reported
within 15 minutes.
Positive results are usually highly accurate, but false positives can happen, especially in areas
where very few people have the virus. Negative results may need to be confirmed with a PCR
test.
One of our technicians will conduct a nasal swab, which does not need to be inserted far into the throat. The cotton swab is rotated within the nose to collect the specimen.
