Nicole DeSimone is one of our group facilitators. Nicole studied psychology at Cal State Dominguez Hills, earning her bachelor’s degree in 2014, during which time she gained experience working as a direct support professional for individuals with developmental disabilities. She went on to earn her master’s degree in counseling psychology at University of the West in 2018, where she received formal training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, group process and collaborative therapy. On this journey, Nicole has worked in human resources, business development, and as a DBT Counselor at Clearview Treatment Programs specializing in the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder. At Clearview, she taught DBT skills, lead Matrix Model recovery groups, facilitated mindfulness practice, and participated in twelve step study. Because of her wide range of work experience and background in human resources, Nicole is particularly passionate about supporting clients as they tap into their vocational potential.
Nicole is an LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapist and spiritually inclusive.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, dancing, stand-up comedy and purse-size dogs.
